Bitstrips for Schools
Bitstrips for Schools is an online comic maker AND a social network. Not only does Bitstrips provide an excellent forum for student writing and creative expression, but it also provides us with a great opportunity for teaching appropriate use of social media. Once you have set up your class, your students are able to share, flag, comment on, 'laugh' with, and remix other students' comics. All of this is at the discretion of the teacher. As your students become more experienced, new features can be introduced. Using Bitstrips offers us a terrific way to practice and reinforce appropriate digital citizenship.
